Thought on God and Freedom

It seems like a paradox, but to the man who has done both, it is truth:  When you love God and live for Him completely, you become utterly free, and yet when you love yourself and live for not but your own desires and wants, you become little more than a slave to sin; indeed, God brings true freedom, whereas creaturely “freedom” brings bondage.
