Thought on Atheism & Determinism

It is very interesting to listen to certain atheists–such as Jerry Coyne and/or Sam Harris–talk about the truth of determinism and the lack of human free will, for by claiming that determinism is true, these atheists immediately make atheism irrational; the reason that this is the case is because determinism is entirely consistent with certain forms of theism, and thus if determinism is true, then we have no more way of knowing that it is a God-caused determinism–and thus a God-caused atheism–than we have of knowing that it is a ‘laws of physics’-caused determinism, and so if determinism is true, than both atheism and theism are irrational, for we have no way of actually knowing which of these is actually the case, and we could never know which is the case.
